Langhorne Luxary

So.. Not only do I love this guy's music, but his sense of style is definitely one that I would love to mimic. (And I think I'm already on my way. Thank you, thrift stores.)

p.s. Beth, he has an anchor tattoo on his shoulder. Envious?

Brown Corduroy. Snazzy.

Okay. Not quite me... but try to imagine me in that suit. With or without the kryptonite.

Que un fin de semana!

Wow, what a weekend.

A list!

Friday:
1. Dogfishhead and Chili/Coleslaw dog at D's
2. Film: City Lights, Charlie Chaplain. (Silent film narrated by a fellow patron sitting in the seat behind Beth and myself).
3. Milkshake at Eat n Park
4. Watching ludicrous home movies at Emily and Jason's (debut directing of a scene...very brief) Followed by three grown men wrestling.
5. Fun in Beth's basement (haircut and reliving Beth's childhood through her pictures, art, and clothes. A smile creeping across my face the entire time.)

Saturday:
1. Superb breakfast of tuna melts, pierogies, cous cous, and OJ.
2. Wonderful conversation with Col about college life and house fires...
3. Abandoned house excursion... found a neat moth-ridden felt hat (now in the garbage) Beth found a nifty table with a built in rack, and happy people smiling in polaroids. Eery but beautiful.

THRIFT STORE EXTRAVAGANZA!
A. Thrift Store #1: Good Samaritan- Found a neat hobo/camping cooking pot for future journeys.
B. Thrift Store #2: Salvation Army- Jackpot! Oh, what treasures... sweaters, cardigan, $10 three-piece suit!, and a pair of pants (and an appreciation for Beth's new thermals and hand-knit baby blue wool vest. Good show, my dear.)
C. Thrift Store #3: Goodwill- 3 Ties. Nice ties.

4. Rivertowne Pub. Two St. Pauli Girls. And a shared meal of fried cod and fried salmon and a bucket o' fries. Delicious. (Ate the last of Beth's cod without permission... I was supposed to eat the salmon.)
5. Back to my house with Beth to drink, reminisce, and bullshit with a drunken brother Adam with a lame foot. Followed by mess ups and mistakes, followed by forgiveness and happy thoughts. Followed by a wonderful sleep.

Sunday:
1. Lounging.
2. Benny and Joon.
3. Hot gingerbread cocoa for a sick Beth
4. Superbowl
5. Tom Petty
6. Journey back to the South Side
7. Rest of the Superbowl- Cheers to the underdogs.
8. Pick out new clothes to observe class in for the next day.
9. Sleep. 12:30 am
10. 1:30 am- Awakened by piping hot water streaming from the furnace in my room. Why?
11. Sleep again, this time on the couch.

Did I forget anything...
